Apple’s 27.2 updates bring conversation recall and more languages to Siri AI

The October 26 rollout expands the context Siri AI can use in replies. The iPhone features require an iPhone 16 or later, or an iPhone 15 Pro model, Engadget reports.

Apple began rolling out its 27.2 software updates on October 26, 2026, adding conversation recall, more sources of personal context and five languages to Siri AI across its devices. The changes let the assistant refer to earlier exchanges and draw on more information when answering, according to Engadget and 9to5Mac.

What Siri AI gains in the 27.2 updates

Siri AI can retain useful context from previous conversations. For example, 9to5Mac says a user can ask about restaurants the assistant recommended earlier. Both outlets also report that Siri can draw on photos attached to Messages, people attending Calendar events and voicemails when forming a response.

9to5Mac additionally lists improved results from Safari history and Reading List among the personal-context changes. Engadget reports an Excluded Apps setting that lets users prevent Siri, Search and Suggestions from accessing a selected app. It also says users can select and copy part of a Siri AI response, rather than copying the whole answer.

The five newly supported Siri AI languages are French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, both outlets report. 9to5Mac describes the release as an update to the Siri AI overhaul introduced with iOS 27 the previous month.

Which Apple devices receive the new features

On iPhone, Engadget says the Siri AI additions work on every iPhone 16 model and later, as well as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Other iPhones can receive the remaining iOS 27.2 changes, the outlet reports. Those include editing captions and comments in Shared Albums, Messages suggestions based on texts, and support in Photos or Image Playground for Google’s SynthID watermarking tool, which identifies images made or changed with generative AI.

9to5Mac says the Siri AI improvements extend across iPhone, iPad, Mac and other devices through iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS 27.2 and companion releases. Engadget reports that macOS 27.2 includes conversation recall and Messages Suggestions, alongside bug fixes and security updates. It also reports 27.2 releases for Apple TV, Vision Pro and HomePod.

Apple says Siri AI responds faster on Apple Watch with watchOS 27.2, according to 9to5Mac. Engadget reports that the watch update receives the same Siri AI feature lineup as the iPhone release.
