Diggs' foolish TD celebration costs Commanders in loss to Eagles

Stefon Diggs celebrated his first touchdown with the Washington Commanders with a hug of the goalpost. Then he dropped flat on his back in the end zone. Diggs was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, and the 15-yard penalty cost the Commanders a shot at a tying 2-point conversion in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles. Washington later went for 2 again with a chance to tie the game but was stuffed on a shovel pass in a 24-22 loss.

Diggs says he takes “full accountability” for his mistake.
