John Mulaney and Druski join SNL’s November lineup: who’s performing with them?
Mulaney is booked for his seventh hosting stint, with Phoebe Bridgers as musical guest. Druski makes his hosting debut a week earlier alongside The Strokes.
John Mulaney and Druski are set to host successive November episodes of Saturday Night Live in New York City, NBC announced on October 22. Druski is booked for November 7 with The Strokes; Mulaney follows on November 14 with Phoebe Bridgers, according to Variety and Deadline.
The bookings put a first-time SNL host immediately before one of the show’s regulars: November 7 will be Druski’s hosting debut, while November 14 is set to be Mulaney’s seventh turn. Both musical guests have played the show before, giving the two Saturdays a mix of new and familiar faces.
Who is on SNL on November 7?
The Strokes will make their fifth appearance as SNL musical guest alongside Druski, Variety and Deadline reported. Variety described Druski as the first digital content creator to headline the sketch series. His booking comes before the scheduled December release of his scripted Netflix comedy series Collect and Praise.
The Strokes are touring in support of their album Reality Awaits, according to Variety. Their return pairs a band with four previous musical guest appearances with a host who has yet to take the SNL stage in that role.
When are John Mulaney and Phoebe Bridgers on SNL?
Mulaney is scheduled to host on November 14, with Bridgers performing as musical guest. His connection to the show predates his hosting appearances: he wrote for SNL for four seasons, from 2008 to 2012, Variety reported. This booking would bring him back for his seventh stint as host.
Bridgers’ return recalls her 2021 SNL performance of Kyoto, when she smashed her guitar onstage, Billboard reported. Her album Lost Weekend has since debuted at No. 2 on the US albums chart, according to Billboard. The November 14 booking brings her back as the musical guest for Mulaney’s episode.
Mulaney is performing on his Mister Whatever stand-up tour and appears in the Prime Video film Madden, according to Deadline. His November appearance follows Druski’s episode by one week, closing the newly announced run of host and musical guest pairings.
