Kings of Leon are returning with a new album, “O My Beloved,” which marks a sonic shift for the band. Frontman Caleb Followill broke his foot playing tag with his kids, leading to a creative change. Instead of electric-leaning songs, he wrote stripped-down, melancholic tunes about gratitude and family. The band embraced this new direction, with songs like “My Whole World” reflecting domestic bliss. Bassist Jared Followill says they quickly adapted to producing themselves.

The album includes tracks inspired by childhood memories and past relationships, capturing a more personal and reflective tone.
