Kuminga's pick of the T-wolves came from their genuine interest

Jonathan Kuminga recognized his on-court fit with the Minnesota Timberwolves and jumped at the chance to join a winning team. Extra efforts and meaningful connections by members of the organization made Kuminga's decision clear about where to sign — even if he could've made more money elsewhere. Timberwolves president of basketball operations Tim Connelly and basketball operations assistant Alonzo Gee traveled to Miami to meet with the 23-year-old forward this summer.

Star guards LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards made regular phone calls to Kuminga, too. He said at his introductory news conference that those genuine conversations were what ultimately sold him on Minnesota.
