LSU's rehiring of coach Will Wade has yielded a new, talented and potentially unstable roster
LSU's upcoming basketball season will be watched and scrutinized in large part because of the re-hiring of coach Will Wade and his unconventional approach to completely overhauling the Tigers' roster. LSU officially has 12 players in advance of its Nov. 3 regular season opener against LSU-New Orleans. But some of those players needed court orders in order to suit up because the NCAA has declined to grant them a fifth year of eligibility.
Wade also has brought in international players who needed waivers from the NCAA after playing in developmental professional leagues overseas. LSU has not made an NCAA Tournament since 2022, which was Wade's last season with the Tigers before his firing over recruiting violations.
