Cadena SER also reported that Cuéllar had been treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. It described him as out of danger. Those reports offer reassurance about his immediate condition, but neither provides a detailed medical assessment or a timetable for his recovery.

The available accounts differ on precisely when the structure fell relative to Mallorca’s training session. The club statement identifies the place, the injury and the hospital observation plan without fixing that sequence. The injury came as Mallorca prepared for a Sunday match at Girona. Cadena SER reported that Lucas Bergström was away on international duty with Finland, leaving Arnau Tenas as the only available first-team goalkeeper at that point. The report said Toni Dols and Nil Torreguitart would take places in training while the squad was short of senior options.

The Guardian’s Reuters-credited report likewise described Cuéllar’s injury as reducing manager Luis García’s backup options in goal. It identified Tenas as Mallorca’s first-choice goalkeeper so far this season. The immediate squad shortage is established in those reports, but Cuéllar’s availability for the Girona match had not been confirmed.
