The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open is scheduled to return to the International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi from January 30 to February 6, 2027. Organisers have announced a new Village pass for the fifth edition, giving fans another way to attend the opening weekend, The National reported.

2027 field and prize fund

The WTA 500 tournament is set to feature 28 singles players and 16 doubles teams over eight days. A $1.2 million prize fund and WTA ranking points will be on offer, according to The National and a WAM report carried by ARN News Centre.

The National reported that more than 60,000 people attended the 2026 tournament. Czech qualifier Sara Bejlek won her first WTA Tour title there, beating Ekaterina Alexandrova in the final. Tournament director Nigel Gupta called the attendance ‘remarkable’ and said it reflected the appetite for tennis in Abu Dhabi.

What the new Village pass includes

The new pass will give access to the 15,000-square-metre Mubadala Village, The National reported. Its planned programme includes live entertainment, tennis clinics, player question-and-answer sessions, food and drink, children's activities, sponsor activities and merchandise. Stadium ticket holders will also have access to the Village programme.

On January 30 and 31, the Village pass will include entry to qualifying matches. Adult passes will cost Dh10 per day, while children under 12 can attend free during that opening weekend, according to The National. The qualifying access makes the pass an option for watching tennis before the main draw as well as visiting the Village.

The tournament's account announced on October 21 that tickets were on sale. In comments reported by The National, Abu Dhabi Sports Council secretary general Aref Hamad Al Awani said the event's community activities were intended to support tennis participation. Homaid Al Shimmari, deputy group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company, said the tournament was also meant to bring families and young people together around the sport.
