The Seattle Seahawks signed fullback Jackson Acker and tight end Josiah Deguara to their practice squad on Monday, Oct. 19, releasing running back Dontae McMillan and receiver Malick Meiga to make room. The changes give Seattle two new practice squad options as guard Anthony Bradford begins a separate return from injured reserve.

The Seahawks announced the four practice squad moves on Monday. KIRO reporter Jake Renn also reported the additions and releases. Bradford was designated to return to practice the same day; he was not among the players signed to the practice squad.

What Acker and Deguara bring to Seattle

Acker, an undrafted rookie from Wisconsin, signed with the Buffalo Bills after the 2026 draft. Buffalo released him in August after its first preseason game, according to the Seahawks. He appeared in 50 games at Wisconsin and started 14, playing both fullback and running back while also contributing on special teams.

Deguara brings considerably more NFL experience. A third-round pick from Cincinnati in 2020, the tight end has appeared in 78 games over seven seasons, starting 12. His career totals are 53 receptions for 471 yards and three touchdowns, according to Seattle. He played one game for the Philadelphia Eagles this season before joining the Seahawks' practice squad.

Bradford's path back to the offensive line

Seattle's designation allows Bradford to practice as he works toward returning from injured reserve. The right guard has started 39 of his 43 games for the Seahawks since joining the team as a fourth-round pick from LSU in 2023. He started all 17 regular-season games in 2025 and Seattle's three postseason games, the team said.

Christian Haynes has started in Bradford's place for the past five games, and rookie Beau Stephens has also played at right guard. Coach Mike Macdonald said Bradford could play a significant amount, possibly the whole game, if he has a good week of practice, KIRO reported. Seattle is scheduled to host the Kansas City Chiefs at Lumen Field on Sunday, Oct. 25.
