Turnover-prone Baker Mayfield turns attention to matchup against Browns

The Buccaneers saw the best and worst of Baker Mayfield in their first season-opening loss since 2020. Tom Brady led them to a Super Bowl title that season so 0-1 isn’t an insurmountable deficit. Plus, every team in the NFC South lost on Sunday. Mayfield lost three fumbles that led to 17 points, including one that was returned for a score in Tampa Bay’s 33-27 loss to Cincinnati. He also held the ball took long at times, taking four sacks.

But Mayfield had an efficient game when he wasn’t giving the ball away. He completed 23 of 28 passes for 216 yards and ran for 30 yards, including a touchdown.
