AEW’s three-hour Dynamite and Collision broadcast in Cleveland on Wednesday, Oct. 14, settled five Clockwork Carnage qualifying matches before a brawl among wrestlers headed for Saturday’s WrestleDream in Orlando, Florida. Darby Allin retained the TNT Championship and qualified, while Adam Copeland, Kazuchika Okada, Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita also advanced.

The shows aired together from the Wolstein Center. Forbes, in a report republished by Yahoo Sports, said Collision moved from its usual Saturday slot because WrestleDream occupies that slot on Oct. 17.

Who qualified for Clockwork Carnage

Allin pinned Hechicero in his TNT title defense, and Ricochet pinned Ace Austin. Wrestling Noticias reported that Okada retained the International Championship against Myron Reed, finishing with a Rainmaker after Reed missed a 450 Splash.

Copeland defeated Josh Alexander, while Takeshita made Brian Cage submit with a Dragon Sleeper. After his match, Copeland said 2027 would be his final year in wrestling and set his sights on the AEW World title, according to F4W/Wrestling Observer and Wrestling Noticias.

F4W described Clockwork Carnage as an eight-person match for the AEW World Championship. Two wrestlers start, another enters every three minutes, and anyone pinned or submitted before the last entrant is eliminated. Once all eight have entered, a 15-minute period begins in which each pin or submission earns one point; the highest score wins the title.

How the broadcast ended before WrestleDream

After the final match, Okada, Lance Archer and Rocky Romero attacked Allin. Will Ospreay and Mike Bailey came to his aid, and Copeland fought Okada. Ricochet then attacked Copeland and took out Bailey; Takeshita took out Ricochet, and Samoa Joe fought Takeshita before security separated the wrestlers, according to Forbes’ report and Wrestling Noticias.

The broadcast also advanced other WrestleDream matches. Dani Luna and Hyan beat Britt Baker and Persephone when Luna pinned Baker, and Queen Aminata intervened after a post-match attack. Wrestling Noticias reported that Persephone would defend the TBS Championship against Luna, Hyan and Aminata in a four-way on Saturday.

Nick Wayne and Chris Jericho agreed to a deciding match at WrestleDream, with Wayne requiring Jericho to apologize if Wayne wins. Separately, the Young Bucks attacked Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight after Fletcher predicted victory at WrestleDream; Matt Jackson said the Bucks would be on time Saturday, Forbes reported.
